TOCCATA – Tahoe Symphony Orchestra and Chorus kicks off its 10th annual WinterFest with the “Brrroque Masters” concert series dedicated to the memory of Mark Lord, TOCCATA’s principal trumpet player for the past 9 years.
The program includes Vivaldi’s Concerto for Two Trumpets featuring baroque trumpters Dwayne Hollenbach and Wm Van Meter and the Vivaldi Gloria featuring the Tahoe Symphony Chorus and vocal soloists.
Also included will be Vivaldi’s Bassoon Concerto in E minor, Vivaldi’s Concerto for Guitar in A major; and Marcello’s Concerto for Oboe and Strings in D minor. The performance is at Shepherd of the Sierra Church (3680 Hwy 395 S.)
Tickets are available at the door or online at www.ToccataTahoe.com and at Tahoe City Visitor Center. General admission to all concerts is $25 adults, $20 seniors, $5 students aged 19 to 23 with valid ID. Preferred seating is $35 and $15 for youth/students. Youth under 19 years of age are admitted free, in non reserved seating, to most regular season concerts in 2015.
